Wow, what a year! Does it really have to be over already? Can’t it last forever? 2015. This year had it all, pushed me to my limits and let me grow as well as Theri’s Wardrobe. So are you ready for a little throwback on a year of fashion, adventures and new experiences.
You know that I find my greatest joy in traveling and that’s exactly what this whole year was about. First I explored Prague in February and totally fell for the city’s middle age flair and barock charm with modern twist. But it was freezing cold, much colder than my Canada adventure at the End of March. The endless and deserted wilderness fascinated me and the Icefield Parkway stole my heart so honestly I wouldn’t have a problem with moving to Alberta or British Columbia if I have to, but I gonna need to save up for a helicopter though because heliskiing was like the best thing I’ve ever done in my whole life and I never felt so free ever before.
Winter passed by and suddenly summer announced itself with massiv heat. While the heat wave Hanni and I flew to Barcelona to celebrate her high school graduation on a girls-only weekend. And 37°C couldn’t stop us from painting the town and while exploring one of my favorite cities I came up with a new category for you guys calles 7 places to visit which had it’s second issue just three weeks later in Helsinki, where I spent five days with my sister and a friend, realizing all over that deep in my heart I’m a northern girl, because even though I enjoy the beach and sun I seek the colder regions.
Back home I only had time to do the laundry before I packed my suitcase again and was off to our annual family holiday, which we spent in Portugal. Starting off the 2 weeks vacation we explored the amazing city of Porto and the Douro Valley, where I had the first port wine that I actually liked 🙂 After 4 days we headed south and ended up at the breathtakingly beautiful Algarve spending every minute at relaxing at the beach and bathing in the freezing cold Atlantic Ocean.
When September knocked on my door I was once again packing my bags but this time only one backpack for a three weeks adventure in Vietnam with my boyfriend. In these 3 weeks I’ve learned more than I every expected. The whole country, the whole trip pushed me to my limits and I loved every little thing about it. The thrill of a new culture, the chaos and the people – simply everything about these three weeks was perfect – even the taifun that hit us. Vietnam has been one big adventure packed with so many new experiences that made me look at life from a different angle.
After the Vietnam trip school started again and my last year of collage kicked in with every cliché. I had a lot to do, went out with friends and moved into a new apartment with my sister and still I haven’t started with my Bachelor’s Thesis, which I successfully placed on hold till this semester is over … that’s so me 🙂
When the calendar showed December the travel bug bit me again and I had to leave home for a quick change of scenery before Christmas. So Christoph and I stole my mothers car (just kidding), headed east and ended up in Budapest – a city that I never really thought about and so my expectations weren’t that high but the Hungarian capital blew me of my feet. I fell in love with Budapest head of heel and it already made on my Travel-List for 2016.
But this year wasn’t all about traveling, even though it took a fair share on the blog so I’m now officially calling myself a fashion & travel blogger and not just a style blogger. Anyway, fashion is still one of my biggest passions but I tried to get back to my roots and focused on wearable and comfy outfits – while still trying new trends – because that’s who I’m.
It’s been a fantastic year and I’m so grateful that I was able to share all my adventures with you who followed me on all my travels, commented on my outfits and made me smile over all your lovely words. So thank you for all your support and love and I’m really looking forward to a new and exciting year of 2016 together with you guys!
Happy New Year and much Love, Theri
