First of all this isn’t my recipe – I actually had this dessert the first time on Valentine’s day two years ago and it was homemade by my boyfriend. Since that day I always ask for it on special occasions and he always makes it for me. Believe me, you can really taste the love. But now enough of „soft soap“ talking, I asked Christoph if I can share his recipe (even though I think he got it from his mother) with you and tried to do it myself.
It’s a simple recipe but if you had the Raspberry Almond Ice Cream Dessert once you’ll never forget it. You gonna fall for the crunchiness of the almonds, the sweet divine taste of the vanilla and the fresh summery flavor of raspberries. Is you mouth already watering? Then try it yourself and follow these easy instruction:
Ingreditents: (for 5-6 portions)
- caramelize the raspberries with 1 heaping tablespoon of vanilla sugar in a pan till they get creamy and let it cool down a bit. (add more regular sugar if the raspberries aren’t that sweet)
- melt a generous tablespoon of butter in another pan then brown the almonds and add 1 heaping tablespoon of vanilla sugar for caramelization (be careful that the almonds don’t get burned!)
- then add the caramelized raspberries, vanilla ice cream and rosted almonds layer by layer for a beautiful dessert design.
- enjoy it right away or but it in the refrigerator for later – but don’t forget to share it with your friends and family ! 🙂
