Currently I’m totally into tea which might be obvious as the last few icy days in Vienna definitely exact their toll. That’s why I’ve been looking for something that will keep me worth from within. After imagining every tea, punch and other hot beverage I reminded myself of my time in Berlin in January – where I just couldn’t get enough of fresh Ginger Apple Tea. Now I modifies it a bit and finally found what really makes me warm again after a busy day at university or running around the city.
For on big teapot (1L):
1 big ginger bulb
some elderberry sirup
1L boiling water
The only thing to do is cutting the ginger in thin slices, put them all together in the teapot and add the sirup. Then just brew the boiling water over it and let it steep for about 10 minutes. If you don’t like it too spicy remove the ginger after the 10 minutes and voilá your homemade tea is ready to warm you up!
