After an extended creative break from blogging I’m back with fresh energy and lots of plans for 2016. Find out what’s on my adventurous Bucket List this year!
To be honest I was a little irritated when I woke up at New Year’s Day around midday in a friend’s small mountain cabin somewhere near Großglockner, where my friends and I spent New Year’s Eve. Like everyday I switched on my phone – still lying in bed – opened Facebook and then it dawned on me: It is 2016. It just started and suddenly all I found in my feed (beside crazy party picture)s were posts of nearly every blogger I know packed with plans, resolutions and goals to reach in 2016. Everyone has been busy, while I was still in bed! I’ve never been someone caring much about what other people do, but reading all these carefully written, strong minded posts I felt a little intimated. Because I simply had no plan for 2016. I didn’t know what will be the next step and for sure the weight on my shoulders to make this new year at least equally as great as 2015 wasn’t helping either.
But I live according to the mantra: If you want something stand up and work to make it happen. Plus I’m a sucker for a good old “To-Do” List so I got on my feet and created one, which led to my Bucket List for 2016 – packed with lots of traveling, new fashion trends and a whole bunch of new adventures in-between.
#1 Monthly Adventures: I’ve been traveling a lot lately and it took me to far away places, but during the last few weeks I started to realize that I’ve never been to Ljubljana even though it is just a 2 hours drive from my hometown Graz or I’ve never been to Bratislava, which is less than 1 hour from Vienna. It is crazy how much you might miss when you simply skip the your own neighborhood and straight go overseas. So this year will be about traveling but with a focus on home (in a very abstract term). I simply wanna explore places which I’ve never really thought of visiting but often heard of – like Budapest, which was absolutely great.
*btw. I really try to make this monthly-thingy work, but don’t be angry with me if life gets in the way 🙂
#2 College: according to my Life Plan, whatever that may look like , College should be first, because this year I gonna graduate with my Bachelor’s Degree. The only thing that’s keeping me from leaving collage just this month is my still missing Bachelor’s Thesis, which will be my big project till summer 🙂 so wish me luck (and motivation)! Moreover I gonna start with my Master studies in Autumn so there will be some major academical changes for me too 🙂
#3 Language: I studied Italian in school and to be honest, I hated it – not the language, which is beautiful, but the simple fact of having a really nasty teacher made me refuse to learn Italian and that hasn’t changed till today. But only speaking English beside my mother tongue is also a little boring so I decided to start fresh with a totally new language. I also have one or two in mind and as soon as I can do small-talk I gonna tell you 🙂
#4 a new level: I’ve got big plans for 2016 regarding the blog and gonna start working on my project the second I hand in my last assignment for this semester. All new, that’s the mantra, because I developed as well as my blog and the old cloths simply don’t fit anymore so it is time for a new look. Relaunch Feb.2016
#5 be bold: I like changes – even though I’m afraid at first – I really do love when something turns around and upside down from time to time, but I want to be braver when it comes to my personal style. This doesn’t mean I will start dressing up like crazy, because that not who I’m – I simply wanna be more open to new trends and try them if I have the feeling it would suit me. The first step in that direction has been taken at the end of last year, when I woke up one day and decided to get a new hair style, which made me giving up almost 30 cm in hair length and it feels great! And that exact feeling is what I want for 2016 – being bold and confident about my look.
#6 never stop exploring: Beside my small travel plans I travel overseas again this year but this time not to Asia or any other exotic country. This summer I gonna explore the National Park in US and road tripping from the Wild Wild West even further West till we reach the Pacific Ocean. If it gonna take us North to Seattle and Vacouver or South to LA hasn’t been decided yet but it gonna be a long and adventurous journey and I’m so looking forward to it!
And beside traveling the US I also plan on finally visiting Island this year and I really hope you gonna join me here as well as on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat @theriswardrobe for traveling the world again this year 🙂
Now it’s your turn: What is on your bucket list for 2016?
