When the new year started I was full of motivation and had so many plans for 2016 – especially for the blog. I wanted to create and write but then suddenly life got in the way and demanded all my attention. Exams and (real world) work held me from blogging and at this point I have to be honest with you – I enjoyed it. There was nothing to talk about and definitely nothing to share with you. My life has been ordinary and the monthly adventures which I had planned to go on didn’t take place. Something else had become more important. But one thing never stopped: I still see my future in blogging, writing and photography.
This blog has been my creative outlet for almost 5 years now and because of theriswardrobe.com I was able to experience so much and found many new friends sharing the same passion. I simply can’t give that up so carelessly, just because I had nothing to talk about for one month. In five years this only happened once and I was close to blowing it all into the wind – like a child tired of playing with the same toy over and over again.
So I asked myself why I wanted to quit. The answer was pretty simple: I grew up and this happened faster than my blog changed. I grew above the fashion talk and I’m sick of this dull fashion blogger qua qua. This is nothing I’m like. I’m not a superficial girl. I’m don’t care much for fashion weeks and don’t think I would be happy in a society worshiping the color of the season. The thing I still love most about fashion are the endless opportunities. There are (almost) no rules and if one doesn’t care about other peoples’ opinions than everything is possible. This freedom is very rare and it’s what fascinates me so much and why I will never stop being a fashion blogger in my own way. But I want to create something worth reading, worth remembering and this is Traveling.
I consider this a new start, a clean cut. A new design, new focus and new stories. Theri’s Wardrobe grew up and is now officially a …
fashion & travel blog
What is the difference? the new Focus. Yes, traveling has always been an important topic on the blog, but never really had the rank it deserves. Exploring and traveling new places, getting to know new cultures and diving into adventures has been what influenced me most during the past few years and what I love most about my life. In all these years I’ve traveled so far and had the opportunity to learn even more that I now want to focus on sharing that with you in my Travel Diaries and Travel Tips. Also Hotels and Restaurants/Café will be regularly featured on the blog from now on and my 7 things to do series will make it to the next round soon.
In Fashion, Outfits will be around as usual and also Editors’ Picks will be part of the game. What is new is the Label to Watch section where I plan on featuring young interesting designers and artists as well as other creatives that I want to introduce you to. The Lifestyle topics changed as well. In a Sundays Column I plan on talking about every day life, recent events and stuff that matters to me – it will be kind of a think tank for all my fuzzy thoughts and maybe even a place for you to share your opinion fellow readers and me. Moreover, I’ve got several Interviews lining up for you featuring super interesting people.
I’m so happy that I took this step relaunching Theri’s Wardrobe. When I now look at my blog I smile because I found a way to make it to a new level without giving up on what I’ve built over so many years. And at this point I want to say thank you to all my readers for your support and for coming back over and over again even though the blog was under maintenance. It means a lot to know that there are actually people out there waiting for new articles to go public and who are honestly excited about what happens next. Moreover I have to say special thanks to my family and my boyfriend, who always have my back and encouraged me to keep up blogging – thank you so much!
Now it’s done. The renovation is completed and a I’m so looking forward to many new exciting adventures to face with all of you!
